Making Cloud SLAs readily usable in the EU private sector
John Kennedy, Intel Labs - United Kingdom
John Kennedy is a senior researcher in the Cloud and Services Lab of Intel Labs Europe. He is focusing on open standards and open source enablers to facilitate more dependable cloud computing. John is particularly active in Intel's European research initiatives, engaging in collaborative research at local, national, and international levels.
He has a B. Eng (hons) in Electronic Engineering and M. Sc. in Computing. John joined Intel in 1997 and has held roles of systems analyst, developer, solution architect, and applied researcher in Intel's Manufacturing, IT, and Intel Labs organizations. John's areas of interest include interoperability, dependability and differentiation in the cloud. A particular area of interest is open cloud standards in particular with OGF OCCI (Open Cloud Computing Interface) & SC38 Extensive experience in open collaboration with industry and academia, in bilateral, nationally funded and internationally funded research programmes e.g. European Commission's Framework Programmes.
John provides input on activities related to OCCI in the field of SLAs and SC38.
